Mrs. Cora Cooper Jarman, 89, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2006 in Century. She was a native of Brewton and a lifelong resident of Century. During her working years, she owned and operated a grocery store and she was a member of Poplar Dell Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Jarman of Century; a son, Claude (Nell) Cooper of Byrneville, Fla.; two daughters, Bonnie (William ‘Sonny') Davis of York, S.C. and Polly (Carl) Gandy of Century; eight grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 9, at 10 a.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Gandy, the Rev. Mitch Herring and the Rev. Patrick Salter officiating. Burial followed at Godwin Cemetery in Bratt, Fla. with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.
