Mrs. Maybelle Minchew Singleton, 78, of Appleton Road, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2006, at a local hospital after an extended illness. She was a native and life long resident of Brewton and was retired from the Brewton Weaving Company. She was of the Holiness faith.
She is survived by two sons, Stevie Singleton and Kimsey (Martha Dawn) Singleton, both of Brewton, three brothers, Charles Gabrielle (Catherine) Minchew and Caylop (Elizabeth) Minchew, both of Brewton and Hartward (Bonnie) Minchew of Baton Rouge, La.; one sister, Frances (Frank) Hammonds of Baton Rouge, La.; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today, Wed., Sept. 20, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Byrnes Pitts and the Rev. Aaron Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Weaver Cemetery in the Appleton Community with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service.
