Mrs. Judy Williamson Etheredge, 58, died Sept. 21, 2006, at a local hospital. She was a native of Grove Hill and a resident of Jackson. She was a technology coordinator for Clarke County Board of Education and had taught at Joe M. Gilmore School for 28 years. She was a member of Stave Creek Baptist Church, NEA, AEA, and Delta Kappa Gamma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carter B. and Cula Lee Williamson; two brothers, Percy and Larry Williamson and a sister, Kay Williamson.
She is survived by her husband, Randall B. Etheredge of Jackson; a son, Robert Benjamin (Kasie) Etheredge of Coffeeville; a daughter, Emily Etheredge (Phillip) Smith of Yulee, Fla.; three sisters, Betty Jo Williamson of Opelika, Shirley Cotton of Brewton and Cheryl Patrick of Pearl, Miss., and one grandson, Elijah Phillip Smith of Yulee.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 24, at 2 p.m. at Stave Creek Baptist Church. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directing. Pallbearers were Hank Ott, Thomas Ott, Russ Dowling, Clint O'Guynn, Graham Braswell, Clint Harrell, Quincy Baros and Ricky Manchester. Honorary pallbearers were teachers and Clarke County Board of Education.
