Mr. Hugh M. Caffey Jr., 78, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006 at his residence after a sudden illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Brewton, was prominent attorney in this area for 43 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Brewton.
He is survived by his wife, Tina Caffey of Destin; one son, Patrick (Shella) Caffey of Opelika; two daughters, Glenda Preston of Daphne and Renee (Scott) Cooper of Red Level; seven grandchildren, Patrick Caffey, Austin Caffey, Roger Caffey, Shannon Brantley, Kelli Brantley, Nick Cooper and Cassie Cooper; one niece and two nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, Oct. 1, from 1 until 3 p.m. at Williams Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Oct. 1, at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Toy Arnett and the Rev. Thomas Butts officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
