Lady Warhawks get Pensacola pairings
The Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawks volleyball team has received its pairings for next week's Pensacola Junior College Tournament.
JDCC opens play Oct. 13 at 11 a.m. against Oakton, Ill. The Lady Warhawks then play the host school, PJC, at 3 p.m.
JDCC concludes play Oct. 14 with a 9 a.m. rematch against Oakton and an 11 a.m. contest against Gulf Coast.
BMS volleyball girls clinch winning year
The Brewton Middle School Lady Tigers volleyball team assured itself of a winning season with victories at Pollard-McCall Tuesday and at home against Andalusia Thursday.
BMS (7-3) topped Pollard-McCall 25-7, 25-15, 8-25, 25-17.
Hannah Darby led the Lady Tigers in set one with 10 points, while Allison Reid added seven. Leigh Margaret Bostic led the way in set two with eight. Darby came back with another 10 in the decisive fourth set, while Bostic had eight.
BMS also downed Andalusia in straight sets with a 25-12, 25-16 victory.
Reid led the Lady Tigers with eight points in the opener, while Natalie Neal added five.
Elizabeth Nelson scored the first eight points of set two and led BMS for the set with 12. Bostic chipped in seven.
WSN QB Club meets
Tuesday at Fieldhouse
The W.S. Neal Quarterback Club will meet Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Fieldhouse.
