Mr. Willliam Lisenby Lacy, 60, died Friday, Sept. 29, 2006, at a Birmingham hospital. He was a native of Century, Fla., but had been a lifelong resident of Jay. During her working years, she worked as a self-employed beautician. She was a member of Cora Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her sister, Lucille Dixon of Jay.
She is survived by a son, David (Shellie) Carden of Keego; three brothers, Wayne Lacy of Brewton and Gary Don Lacy and Jerry L. Lacy, both of Jay; his sisters, Lula Mae Johnson, Luverne Slate and Betty Cofield, all of Jay, Eloise Muse of Byrneville, Fla., Faye Brantley of Flomaton and Janice Ann Phillips of Enterprise and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 2, at 10 a.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Dewenger officiating. Burial followed at Cora Baptist Church Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Tony Cofield , Kyle Becker, David Garmon, Jason Lacy, Jeffery Lacy, Randy Jackson and Ken Jackson. Honorary pallbearers were Jeff Jackson, Benny Cofield and Shannon Phillips.
