A four-car pileup on the Buddy Mitchell bridge that connects Brewton and East Brewton kept both cities bound by traffic Friday afternoon.
According to Brewton Policeman Jason Peavy, slow moving traffic just after 3 p.m. was most likely the cause of the accident.
Involved in the accident were a late model Yukon, a Tahoe, a Colorado pickup and an Alero. No other injuries were reported at the time of the accident.
The driver of the Colorado pickup was transported to D.W. McMillan Ambulance Service. Her condition and her identity were not known at press time.
Responding to the accident were Brewton and East Brewton Police Departments, Brewton Fire Department, Brewton Fire and Rescue Department, and D.W. McMillan Ambulance Service.
