Mr. Claudis Greene &#8220Buddy” Beasley, 87, of Hwy. 29, Brewton, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2006, at a local nursing facility after an extended illness. He was a native of Red Level and a long time resident of Brewton. He was retired from Sunbeam Bakery with 30 years of service and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the Cedar Hill Methodist Church and a member of the Norris Lodge 301.
He is survived by his wife, Amy Lee Douglas Beasley of Brewton; three sons, Ray (Marilu) Beasley of Titus, David (Nancy) Beasley of Bessemer and Joe (Cathy) Beasley of Brewton; two daughters, Dianne (Robert) Shanks and Janice Beasley, both of Brewton; one step-daughter, Carolyn Jean (Terry) Jordan of East Brewton; one sister, Fannie Belle Thomas of River Falls; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Oct. 25, at 2 p.m. at Cedar Hill Methodist Church with the Rev. Floyd Dyal and the Rev. George Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Crawford Cemetery in East Brewton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
