Ms. Bernice Elizabeth Purvis, 86, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2006, at a Florida hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Century. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rodolph and Bessie Varnum Purvis.
She is survived by two nephews, Jerry (Johnnie) Purvis of Castleberry and Chris (Willonese) Purvis of Flomaton.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Oct. 29, from 1 p.m. until service time.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Oct. 29, at 2 p.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Mitch Herring officiating. Burial will follow at McCurdy Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.
