Mrs. Marilyn Marie Stanley, 47, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2006. She was a native of Brewton and a former resident of Atlanta, Ga. and returned to Brewton in 1999. She was a graduate of Southern Normal High School and attended Talladega College. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joy Green.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Stanley of Brewton; two children, Jasmine Marie Sanford and Kyle Martinque Stanley, both of Brewton; her mother, Callie Washington of Brewton; her sister, Debra (Larry Jones of Brewton; two brothers, Tony (Denise) Sanford and Lawrence (Regina) Sanford, both of Atlanta, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 27, at 11 a.m. at Christ Kingdom Ministry Center in Brewton, with Apostle Herman Bradley officiating. Burial followed at Piney Grove Cemetery, at Brewton with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
