With the holidays quickly approaching, the Downtown Merchants have finalized plans for activities set for Nov. 16.
The event will be complete with Santa and elves in the downtown area.
As in past years, the merchants will make gifts and prizes available to those who attend the four-hour event.
Entertainment will be plentiful during the evening, with local and professional groups providing a musical background for the shopping extravaganza.
Planned to entertain on the boardwalk's loading dock located just outside Milligan's will be the Praise Team from First Assembly of God Church in East Brewton. Also at the loading dock during the event will be the Spirit Lifters of Zion Hill Baptist Church and the T.R. Miller Band.
A trio of musicians from the Eastern Shore Chamber Orchestra will be performing on the balcony of The Book and Bean.
Elsewhere in the downtown area, entertainment will be a highlight with cloggers performing in front of Jus Do as well as Ann Peavy's Twirlstar Baton Corp. Also at Jus Do, Pig Daddy's Barbecue and Catering company will be on hand with Brunswick stew and pulled pork sandwiches.
On the opposite end of St. Joseph Avenue, Changing Seasons will be hosting the Brewton Elementary School Choir. Mill-Town Bakery, across the tracks from Changing Seasons will feature decorative gingerbread houses throughout the event.
Other entertainers may possibly be performing with the planning stages of the event still underway.
