Mr. James Wesley Arrant, 71, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2006, at a local hospital after an extended illness. He was a lifelong resident of the Flomaton community and had been an employee of Scott Paper Company as a diesel mechanic before his retirement. He was a member of Halls Creek Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Arrant of Flomaton; a son, Darrell (Deborah) Arrant of Flomaton; two daughters, Judy Smith of Flomaton and Kim (Jeff) McDaniel of Milton, Fla., and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 17, at 2 p.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Roger Tolbert and Bro. Jimmy Johnson officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant Home Holiness Church Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Howard Hoomes, Doug Johnson, Tommy Lambeth, Bill Gillis, Rodney Lord and Zane Burkhead. Honorary pallbearers were Tom Eiland, Tommy Nelson, James Turner, Melvin Turner, Frank Green Sr. and Arthur Brantley.
