Let us keep Brewton as Brewton. Let's not let this so called needed commercial development make for us subdivisions, shopping malls etc. and make the existing residents pay higher taxes for all of the new schools, sewage plants, roads, fire stations, etc. needed to support this growth.
Growth seldom makes a community a nicer place to live, but it does make a few people richer.
Brewton doesn't need this annex. It's lovely the way it is.
The hearing is Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 2 p.m. behind city hall.
