Cooper among finalists for Lineman of the Year
W.S. Neal Blue Eagles senior left tackle Jared Cooper is one of three finalists for the Alabama Sports Writers Association Class 4A Lineman of the Year Award.
The other linemen who are finalists for the award are Andalusia's Josh Smithart and North Jackson's Brandon Earl.
The three finalists for the 4A Back of the Year are Thomasville's Jake Overstreet, Dora's Marquis Chapel and Alexandria's Jake Welch.
The winners for all classes will be announced Dec. 14.

Invitational Tournament
Pairings have been set for next month's W.S. Neal High School Invitational Basketball Tournament.
This is the first year for the four-team, boys and girls round-robin event, which will be held Dec. 21-23.
