Brewton City Council members voted unanimously during their Tuesday council meeting to rezone a parcel of property situated at 40567 U.S. 31 from a residential area to a general business area.
The property, located at the intersection of U.S. 31 and Old Castleberry Road, has been purchased by Brewton resident Lew Najor.
Councilwoman Ann Marie Sasser has spoken to Najor concerning the future of the property and feels satisfied with her conversation with the landowner.
