Mr. James Levon Boutwell Sr., 64, died Friday, Nov. 24, 2006, in Brewton. He was a native of Byrneville, Fla. and a resident of Brewton for the past 15 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Boutwell; two daughters, Leona Inez Boutwell and Vickie Diane Boutwell; a sister, Lullene Tollin and a brother-in-law, Marvie Lee Dukes.
He is survived by a son, James Boutwell Jr. of Brewton; six daughters, Belinda (Bo) Hudson of Thomasville, Marilyn (Roy) Chestang of Mobile, Sharon (Mitch) Johnson of Huxford, Beverly (Gene) Knighten of Atmore, and Karen Adams and Brenda Boutwell, both of Brewton; a brother, Alton Boutwell of Byrneville; two sisters, Margie Brown of Byrneville and Claudine Kimmons of Flomaton; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 26, at 2 p.m. at Petty Eastside Funeral Home with the Rev. James Baker officiating. Burial followed at Beulah Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers were D.J. Knighten, Steven Knighten, Derrick Knighten, Jerry Adams, Jamie Thompson and Patrick Heur.
