Two families in our community had a difficult holiday last week after fires destroyed their homes.
We hope that these families will be able to recover with the help of their friends and neighbors - and we hope that no one else will endure that kind of loss this year.
But as winter approaches, we all need to take some precautions to ensure that fire safety is practiced in our homes and businesses.
