Mr. Gordon J. Hollingshead, 70, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006, at a Pensacola Hospital. He was a native and lifelong resident of Century and attended the Bratt Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Eveline Hollingshead of Century; a son, Randal (Melinda) Hollingshead of Century; two granddaughters, Anna Hollingshead and Kayla Hollingshead, both of Century; a sister, Elsie Braddock of Fernandia Beach, Fla.; and two nephews, Tommy Jubito and Tim Jubito, both of Fernandina Beach.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 1, at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Theron Collingsworth officiating. Burial followed at McCurdy Cemetery with Petty-Eastide Chapel directing. Pallbearers were Leslie Barnes, Bobby Waller, Shannon Peebles, Ashley Beasley, Gerald Hagen and Boo McCurdy. Honorary pallbearers were Rick Hammond and Raymond Peebles.
