Mrs. Phyllis Joan Howell Miller, 58, of Wallace Road, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006, in a local nursing facility after an extended illness. She was a native of Atmore, a former resident of Walnut Hill, Fla., and a long time resident of Brewton. She was a homemaker, attended Wallace Baptist Church and was a member of the Poarch Creek Indian Tribal Association.
She is survived by his father, Buford &#8220Bob” Howell of Pensacola, Fla.; her husband, Darrell Miller of Brewton; two sons, Ronny Miller of Oakley, Calif., and Phillip Miller of Pensacola; two brothers, Jimmy Howell of Hebron, Ind., and Ronald Howell of Pensacola; a sister, Judi McElhaney of Bratt, Fla., and six grandchildren, Kelly, Samantha, Marci, Hilary, Justin and Alexis.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 2, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Minister Brian Gibson and Minister John Gibson officiating. Burial followed at Green Acres Memorial Gardens with Williams Memorial Chapel directing.
