Christmas morning will be brighter for more than 500 children in the community thanks to the Brewton Chamber of Commerce's Christmas Project.
With names of recipients being submitted by area schools and the Department of Human Resources, children from ages 1 to 14 years were included in gift-giving event.
Stephanie Walker, who was one of the organizers for the project, was excited about the quality of this year's gifts.
After organizing the hundreds of packages on Tuesday, Walker said she was also surprised to see that they group was able to provide more than one toy for each child on the list.
Even with Angels being available to those wishing to donate to the project, Crane said that many people gave monetary donations to the Chamber to help in the cause.
Gifts will be distributed at the First United Methodist Church on Belleville Avenue in Brewton from 9 a.m. to noon today.
