Mrs. Dessie Lee Travis died Jan. 8, 2007. She was a native and former resident of Flomaton until she moved to Brewton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Travis and her parents, Henry and Henrietta Barginear. She was a faithful and active member of Baptist Hill Missionary Baptist Church and the Evergreen District Association.
She is survived by a nephew, the Rev. Ricky Lene, a special cousin, Lorenzo Jones and many other relatives, friends and church family.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 13, at 2 p.m. at Baptist Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. S.C. Tucker officiating. Burial followed at Baptist Hill Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
