Mr. Elbert Wayne Butts, 76, of Kirkland Road, died Saturday, March 17, 2007, in a Pensacola hospital after an extended illness. He was a native and life long resident of Escambia County. He was a U.S. Marine veteran, 60-year Mason and owner/operator of Butts TV Repair for 56 years.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Langham Butts of Brewton; two sons, Michael Wayne (Kathi) Butts of Conway, S.C., and Stuart Wayne (Suprena) Butts of Prattville; a daughter, Debra (Howell) Hawthorn of Brewton; eight grandchildren, Teri Holt, Tina Charlton, Tori Butts, Judson Hawthorn, Adrienne (Michael) Sherrer, Lauren Hawthorn, Will Butts and Maggie Butts; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services were held Monday, March 19, at 10 a.m. at Union Cemetery with High Priest Ray Langham and Evangelist Gary Howard officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
