Mrs. Lois Pierce Weaver, 88, died Sunday, April 15, 2007. She was a native of Conecuh County and an active member of her community. Later in her life she worked as a caregiver in private homes. She had been a resident of a nursing facility for the past six months and was a member of Milton Community of Christ Church.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Leonard Bell and Obie Weaver; and her daughter, Virginia Bell Stewart.
She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn (Eddie) Murphy of Daphne, and Elizabeth (Ed) Strachan of Milton; eight grandchildren, Scarlett White, Brian Jordan, Mike Jordan, Janet McMillan, Maria Stewart, Kathy Coat, Chip Stewart and Scott Stewart; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 19, at 6 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home in Milton with Elder Ed Strachan and the Rev. William Milam officiating. Burial followed at 9:30 a.m. at Ramah Cemetery in Lenox, with Lewis Funeral Home directing.
