Mr. Mickey Carnell Brown, 76, of Appleton Road, died Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at a Pensacola hospital after an extended illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Escambia County, Ala., and was retired from St. Regis Paper Company in the shipping department. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean War and was a member of the New Life Church in East Brewton.
He is survived by his wife, Raye Clayton Brown of Brewton; a son, Greg (Rhonda) Brown of Brewton; a daughter, Mickie (Al) Thomason of Brewton; three brothers, Joe Brown and Alfred Brown, both of East Brewton, and Burl Brown of Berrydale, Fla.; one sister, Tammy Scurlock of Brewton; three grandchildren, Jeremy Lucas, Cody Brown and Brooke Parker; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 18, at 10 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Clayton and speaker Al Thomason officiating. Burial followed at Weaver Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
