The Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawks basketball team has gotten a little bit of everything with its first three recruits for the 2007-08 season.
JDCC coach Allen Gainer has picked up a guard, a wing player and a post man with his first three signings.
Among the signings include William DuPont, a 6-1, 170-pound guard from West Florida Tech High School out of Pensacola, Fla.
This will not be DuPont's first basketball experience in Brewton. DuPont's West Florida team competed at the T.R. Miller Holiday tournament in 2004 where DuPont was an all-tournament team selection. DuPont led West Florida in scoring in that tournament with 37 points.
The Warhawks have also picked up Jesus Trejo, a 6-8, 230-pound center from Methuen, Mass. Trejo comes to JDCC as a redshirt freshman.
The third signing is Austin Hardimen, a 6-6, 235-pound forward from Good Hope.
The Warhawks coach has verbal commitments on two other players and hopes to finish his recruiting class within the next couple of weeks.
