Burnt Corn Creek Park has plenty of room to spread out, and chamber officials are willing to spread out as well. Last-minute spaces for the 27th annual Alabama Blueberry Festival are still available for arts and crafts vendors as well as other vendors who would like to participate in the event.
Chamber officials set a goal of 100 vendors, and Crane believes that will be reached easily.
Crane said only those vendors who meet specific standards will be allowed to occupy a space at the event.
Crane said vendors already committed for the festival will have items such as leather goods, jewelry, plants, pottery and woodwork available for purchase by festivalgoers.
Several new activities and attractions are also planned for this year's event Crane said.
The official Blueberry Festival Cookbook is also available at the Chamber offices and will be available on the day of the festival Crane said.
Crane said the books, which carry recipes other than blueberry dishes, are available for $10 each. Those who wish to have the book mailed to them will be charged $12.50. Books will also be available at the festival site.
Those vendors offering food items will also be able to find a spot on the festival grounds Crane said.
Booth spaces are 10 foot by 10 foot spaces with fees of $85 without electrical service and $95 with electrical service. Food vendors will not be charged a space fee, however a percentage of gross profits at the end of the day will be assessed for their space rental Crane said.
