Mr. Paul Elder, 78, of Cricket Lane, died Friday, June 29, 2007, at a Pensacola hospital after an extended illness. He was a native of West Virginia and a longtime resident of Brewton. He was a retired machinist, a U.S. Army veteran and of the Holiness faith.
He is survived by his wife, Claudia M. Elder of Brewton; a son, Carl (Amanda) Elder of Brewton; one brother, Charles Elder of Brewton; one sister, Margaret Nelson of Brewton; and one granddaughter, Kierstyn Elder.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 2, at 10 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Byrnes Pitts officiating. Burial followed at Weaver Cemetery in the Appleton community with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
