Experience can mean a lot.
While state tournament experience is lacking with the Brewton Advanced Babe Ruth 16-year-old All-Stars, coach Wayne Nall hopes to make up for it with other kinds of experience.

This is Nall's sixth year of coaching youth sports and his fourth summer of coaching all-star teams. However, this is Nall's first experience as a head coach.
Nall feels defense will be the biggest strength his team will take into the tournament.
Nall said his team's pitching depth could be tested if it goes the wrong way in the tournament.
Brewton opens up play at the state tournament, which will be held at T.R. Miller High School, Thursday at 5 p.m. against Gulf Coast of Mobile. Smiths Station plays Covington County in the other first-round game Friday at 1 p.m.
Nall is excited about the opportunity to participate in a state tournament on local turf.
