An Escambia County grand jury will hear about an incident at Frit Car Inc. during its October session, the district attorney's office said Tuesday.
The July 21 incident was a physical altercation between an employee at Frit Car on South Boulevard in Brewton and Larry Lanham, senior vice president of the industrial facility, according to Brewton police reports.
Lanham was taken to D.W. McMillan Hospital after the incident. He was treated and released.
Brewton Police Capt. Randy Nicholson said police identified the suspected perpetrator, but no arrests were made at the time of the incident. He would not publicly identify the suspect.
Brewton Police Chief Monte McGougin said his department was no longer in charge of the case.
Lanham has returned to work on a part-time basis, according to Frit Car officials. His full-time return to the facility is uncertain at this time.
