Ms. Sonja Michelle Viita Morgan, 39, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007, in Century, Fla. She was a native of Portsmouth, Va., a resident of Century for most of her life, and attended the Faith Bible Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Wayne Viita; a sister, Lissa Sigler, and her paternal grandmother, Doris Bennett.
She is survived by her parents, Arnold and Teen Weaver of Century; two brothers, the Rev. Sam (Holly) Weaver of Calhoun, Ga., and John (Lisa) Weaver of Pensacola, Fla.; her grandparents, Helen and Ezra McCraney of Century; a special aunt, Linda Sue Carlton of Flomaton and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 8, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Barrow officiating. Burial will follow at Crary Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricky Burris, Chad Burris, Will Stuckey, Marcus Godwin, Roger Burkett and Keith Moore.
