An eight-month undercover operation has resulted in the arrest of several Brewton area residents, according to information from the 21st Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force.
On Thursday Aug. 16, police officers with the Brewton Police Department served a number of indictments issued by the Escambia County Grand Jury at the close of their summer session.
The indictments were the result of the undercover operation that spanned an eight-month period in the Sowell Road and East Jack Street area.
Seven arrests were made and law enforcement officials are searching for an eighth suspect.
