Economic development in our region, county and city is always on the mind of business and industry leaders.
With the announcement of the Thyssenkrupp steel plant 75 miles away, area business and political leaders have been hoping for some type of growth for our immediate area.
With the work of Coastal Gateway Economic Development Authority personnel, our area may be seeing some growth even without putting TK into the mix.
CGEDA officials have been hard at work recruiting prospects who may be interested in locating or relocating to the region being served by the organization.
Serving Escambia, Conecuh and Monroe counties, CGEDA is keeping the best interest of our region at the top of their priority list. The residents, business owners, politicians, and industry officials couldn’t ask for better representation in promoting this areas work ethic and potential for placement of their business.
The efforts of the CGEDA won’t be in vain. With recruiting efforts reaching into the areas of aviation, retail and wood products as well as plastic manufacturing and food processing plants, the exposure of our area to industry leaders from outside of the region will put our area in the best light possible, by the best respresentatives possible.
Our hats are off to those who work so diligiently with the CGEDA. The future of our area is in good hands.
