Mr. Claude Thomas Jr., 85, of Thomas Road, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native and life long resident of the Brewton area. He was a member of Edendale Holiness Church and retired from T.R. Miller Mill Company with more than 40 years of service. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kristan Lea Thomas.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Laura Jernigan Thomas of Brewton; three sons, Ed Mac (Pam) Thomas and Mike (Gina) Thomas, both of Brewton, and Roy (Paula) Thomas of Jay, Fla.; a daughter, Jo Ann Thomas Steele of Brewton; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Parkerson officiating. Burial followed in Edendale Holiness Church Cemetery with Williams Funeral Home directing.
