TRM volley ball counts losses, win

The T.R. Miller Lady Tiger volleyball dropped two games against Clarke County Tuesday in Grove Hill. The loss dropped the Lady Tigers to 8-4 on the season. T.R. Miller lost game one 25-10 and game two 25-18.
In game one, Leigh Margaret Bostic had three service points to lead the Tigers. In game two, Morgan Hubbard, Janel McCorvey and Natalie Neal each had five service points.
Due to a schedule conflict, the Lady Tigers JV team also played the Clarke County varsity team. The Tigers lost 2-0 as they fell 25-8 and 25-20.
In a Thursday game at Jay, Miller defeated the Royals 3-0. The Tigers took game one 26-24, game two 25-10 and game three 25-12. In game one, Rachel Bostic had eight service points followed by Morgan Hubbard’s seven. In game two, Michal Hubbard had 12 service points and Bostic had seven.
After taking a 9-7 lead, Hubbard reeled off 12 straight service points, five of which were aces, to make the score 21-7.
In game three, it was Hubbard again whohad seven straight service points to help lead Miller to the win. Janel McCorvey had six service points and Bostic had five.
In the JV game, T.R. Miller defeated Jay 2-0 with a 25-10 win in game one and 25-14 win in the second game.
In game one, Emily Waters, had seven straight service points and Elizabeth Nelson had six to lead the Tigers.
In game two, Leigh Margaret Bostic had six straight service points to open the game and Teralyn Moore added nine straight to finish the game.
In the middle school game, Brewton also defeated Jay 2-0. The Tigers took game one 25-14 and game two 25-23.
