Ms. Ila Mae Smith, 59, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007, in an Andalusia hospital. She was a native of Atmore, and a former resident of Barnetts Crossroads before moving to Andalusia 13 years ago. She was a member of New Bethlehem Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest Benjamin and Ila Estelle Smith; a brother, Jarvis; and a nephew, Sam Roe.
She is survived by a son, Ronnie Brinnon Jr. of Andalusia; two brothers, Rayford (Carolyn) Smith and James (Sandra) Smith; five sisters, Dorothy (Kenneth) Roe, Earline (Lamar) Crews, Annie Sellers, Imogene Jordan and Kathy Garrett; 10 nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 3, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Richburg and the Rev. Mark Brown officiating. Burial will follow at New Bethlehem Cemetery at Barnetts Crossroads with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be her nephews, Tony Smith, Ben Roe, Kevin Sellers, Earl Garrett, Rich Roe, David Delmas and Gus Smith.
