Lady Tigers get revenge in defeat of Northview

After a rough game last week against Northview, the T.R. Miller Lady Tiger volleyball took revenge Monday night as they defeated the Northview Chiefs 3-1.
The Tigers won 25-13, 25-14, lost game three 25-23 before taking game four 25-15 and the match.
In game one, with the game tied at 7-7, Janel McCorvey had seven straight service points to give the Tigers a 14-7 lead. Rachel Bostic then had six service points including the final three of the game to lead the Tigers.
In game two, Bostic opened the game with seven straight service points. With the score 11-7 in favor of T.R. Miller (10-6), Brandi Kennedy scored seven straight service points to make the Miller lead 18-7 as the Tigers went on to win 25-14.
In game three, Miller got behind 10-2 early before fighting back to tie the game at 19-19. Miller then fell behind 24-21 to get within one at 24-23 before a service fault for Miller ended the rally and the Tigers lost 25-23.
In game four, Bostic opened the game with four straight service points followed by Morgan Hubbard’s six to give Miller a 10-3 lead. From that point on, Miller held on for a 25-15 win. Hubbard finished with eight service points and Bostic had five.
For the JV Tigers (7-3), Miller won 2-0. In game one, Miller won 25-21 with Teralyn Moore having nine service points (seven straight) and Madison Floyd had five.
In game two, Moore had seven service points and Taylor Guthrie had six.
