Gulf Breeze edges Miller in meet

The T.R. Miller cross country team competed in Pace, Fla., on Tuesday and came within one point of winning the meet.
Gulf Breeze edged T.R. Miller, 53-54.
Geoffrey Youngblood was the top finisher for the Tigers as he came in fourth place overall with a time of 18:32.
Corey Cunningham placed second for the Tigers and sixth overall as he ran a time of 18:39. Brandon Nelson posted a time of 18:52 that earned him seventh place.
Cole Pruitt and Tyler Parker came in 18th and 19th place, respectively, as they had times of 20:33 and 20:34. Taylor Terry rounded out the Tigers as he placed 46th overall with a time of 22:09.
For the T.R. Miller girls, Amber Nelson paced the Tigers as she posted a seventh place finish with a time of 23:27.
Shelby Youngblood posted a time of 23:34 earning a ninth place finish as Taylor Guthrie rounded out the Tigers with a time of 28:46 and 36th place.
The Tigers competed again Saturday in the Great Muddy race in Mobile, but results were unavailable at press time.
