Mrs. Laura Jean Waller, 88, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007 at an Evergreen medical facility. She was a resident of Conecuh County. She had been a seamstress at Steven Roberts Drapery and a pipe fitter and welder during World War II.
She us survived by a son, Rodger Waller of Brewton; a daughter, Peggy Howell of Evergreen; five sisters, Nell Cobb of New York, Ouida Cobb of Texas, Dollie Sasser of Kansas, Vitera Pynes of Montgomery and Lillian Mitchell of Florida; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 12, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Cope Funeral Home. Burial followed at Magnolia Cemetery in Evergreen with Cope Funeral Home directing.
