Lady Tigers earn county tournament victory

The T.R. Miller Lady Tiger volleyball team captured their third straight Escambia County tournament on Saturday at W.S. Neal.
The Tigers (15-6) won their first two games as they defeated W.S. Neal and Flomaton en route to the championship. Escambia County dropped out of the tournament this year.
T.R. Miller opened the tournament with a 25-20 loss in game one to W.S. Neal. The game alternated back and forth before Neal was able to take a 20-17 lead and win the first game.
In game two, Miller came out on fire as they opened up a 13-2 lead and went on to win 25-12 to tie the match up 1-1.
In game three, Miller came out with an 11-5 lead and won 15-8.
In the game against Neal, Morgan Hubbard led with seven service points in game one. In game two, Hubbard led with nine service points. In game three, Natalie Neal had six service points.
Miller came out against Flomaton in game one and took the first game 25-13 and game two 25-16 to take the tournament.
Neal led Miller with nine service points in game one and in game two, Elizabeth Nelson and Rachel Bostic led with six service points.
For W.S. Neal (11-5), after losing their first match to T.R. Miller, the Blue Eagles came out and defeated Flomaton 2-0 to take second place. W.S. Neal won the first game 25-23 and game two 25-19.
In the games against Miller, Sydney Andrews led the team with eight service points and Casey Wilson had seven in game one. In game two, Andrews led with four and three in game in game three.
In the game against Flomaton, Andrews led with seven as Wilson led with five. In game two, Malary Booker led with six service points.
