Cleve Andrew Pettis, 88, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007, in a local nursing facility after an extended illness. He was a native and life-long resident of Brewton and was a retired farmer and school bus driver. He attended the Hanberry Holiness Church.
He is survived by four brothers, Howard (Ella Max) Pettis of Mobile, Riley C. (Annie Ceil) Pettis and Claude E. (Yvonne) Pettis, both of Theodore and Allen D. (Betty) Pettis of Brewton; a sister, Essie Chavers of Brewton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 3, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Pettis and the Rev. Wilbur Graves officiating. Burial followed at Hanberry Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
