East Brewton Termites win Super Bowl championship

The East Brewton Youth Football termite team celebrated a Tri-County Super Bowl championship Saturday after defeating Andalusia in a first round game and Straughn in the championship game.
East Brewton defeated Andalusia 20-6 in a first round game earlier in the day and then defeated Straughn 30-14 to claim the championship.
In the win over Andalusia, Quantae Barksdale had 192 yards rushing on 17 carries. Barksdale finished with three touchdowns.
Malcolm Hawthorne added seven yards on two carries and had six yards receiving.
Miles Powell added 18 yards rushing for the Eagles and had a reception for 36 yards.
On defense for East Brewton, Barksdale had eight tackles to lead the Eagles. Zack Williams added three tackles along with Lane Chavers, Austin Hiers, and D.J. Hodges' three.
In the championship game against Straughn, Barksdale had 251 yards rushing on 15 carries to lead the Eagles offensively. Hawthorne added 20 yards rushing and had one reception for four yards.
Alex O'Keane had one reception for 20 yards and one touchdown. Powell had 11 yards rushing and one touchdown pass. Joseph Booker added one reception for 10 yards.
Defensively, Barksdale and Powell had five tackles each. Hawthorne added three tackles and Zack Williams added four.
D.J. Hodges added six tackles to help the Eagles.
