Folks who went to work at T.R. Miller Mill two weeks ago probably were not expecting to turn into firefighters overnight.
But that's exactly what happened when one of the kilns caught on fire and mill employees stood alongside the many paid and volunteer fire departments that showed up to help fight the nearly all-day blaze.
We're grateful not only for those hard-working fire departments but also for the employees who worked hard to save their place of employment.
T.R. Miller looks to be in good shape to get back on track with production, despite the damage the fire did to the mill campus. We're certainly confident that employees who would stand and fight a fire will be able to overcome this setback.
T.R. Miller Mill is a great corporate citizen in our community - and has been for many decades. It will be back up to full speed in no time.
