Charles Leslie “Charlie Mac” McArthur

Mr. Charles Leslie “Charlie Mac” McArthur, 72, of Veasey Street, East Brewton, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, in a local hospital after an extended illness. He was a native and life long resident of East Brewton. He was a member of Cedar Hill Methodist Church, the U.S. Navy and was an Army veteran. He was also a member of Ameriacan Legion, and a retired welder from Monsanto with 37 years of service. He was preceded in death by a son, Ray McArthur.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Settle McArthur of East Brewton; a son, Danny (Tammy) McArthur of East Brewton; a daughter, Cindy (Mark) Gross of Panama City, Fla.; three sisters, Naomi Ashby and Irene (Russ) Lister, both of Pensacola, and May (Larry) Cooper of Dothan; five grandchildren, Joshua McArthur, Joseph McArthur, Kelsey Gross, Jeremy McArthur and Brice Gross.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. William Garrett officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Crawford Cemetery in East Brewton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
