Mrs. Christine D. Dubose, 70, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, in a Mobile hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Escambia County. She was a hairdresser by trade, and was an ordained minister. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Holiness Church and she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary L. Warrick.
She is survived by her husband, James D. Dubose of Brewton; two daughters, Kathy L. Godwin and Samantha Kay Howell, both of Flomaton; one step-son, David Dubose of Brewton; three step-daughters, Tammy Gray of Castleberry, Tanya Jandran of Berrydale, and Tameka Dubose of Milton, Fla.; one sister, Patricia Futch of Prattville; three grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and 13 step-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 20, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Cardwell and the Rev. Michael Henderson officiating. Burial followed at Beulah Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Houston Strength, Matt Brittingham, Will Chavers, Pat Carden, David Dubose and Brandon Byrd. Honorary pallbearer was Darrell Miller.
