Mr. Marshall Watson, 72, died on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, in a local hospital. He was a native and life long resident of the Brewton area. He worked as a foreman with the county road department and attended Hanberry Holiness Church. He was a member of Brewton Mason Lodge 301. He was preceded in death by his parents, William L. Watson and Minnie Minchew Watson; two brothers, Aubrey Watson and Robert Watson; a sister, Lillie Ruth LeGrande; and two granddaughters, Andrea Denise Watson and Diana Nicole Watson.
He is survived by his wife, Maedell Watson of Brewton; two sons, Larry Dewayne (Teresa) Watson and Ricky Stephen Watson, both of Brewton; one brother, Hubert Watson of Canyon Lake, Calif.; three sisters, Ann McClellan of Brewton, and Stella Kate Rabon and Evelyn Vaughn, both of Mobile; three grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Martin Hicks officiating. Burial, with Masonic rites, followed at Beulah Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Keith Pruitt, Jeff Rabon, Lance Mayers, Richard Fore, John Bell and Jeff Hall.
