BMS gets wins over EW and Carver

The Brewton Middle School boys picked up two wins this week as they defeated Earnest Ward 37-25 and Carver at home Thursday night 41-13 to improve their record to 4-1.
Coach Gerald McAnally was proud of his team's win.
After falling early in the game 2-0, the Tigers raced out to a 14-2 before giving up a late Carver free throw to take a 14-3 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Darrion Salter got the Tigers on the board with a 3-pointer at the 4:51 mark as he had nine points in the quarter.
Conner Denton and Tyler Dehoff each added 2 points each in the quarter as Kameron Winn added a point.
Carver got back into the game in the second as they cut the Tiger lead to 14-8 with 3:12 left before halftime, but Brewton got back on their hot streak and rushed out to a 22-8 halftime lead.
The second half was much of the same as the Tigers scored 14 points in the third quarter as they went on to crush Carver 41-13.
The Tigers will be back in action Tuesday when they travel to East Brewton to take on W.S. Neal Middle School.
Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.

In the game against Earnest Ward, the boys raced out to a 26-14 halftime lead and won the game 37-25.
