Rowser among nominees at RSTC

Three employees of Reid State Technical College in Evergreen were recognized at the Chancellor's Awards ceremony in conjunction with
the Alabama College Association's Fall Conference recently.
The Chancellor's Awards began as a way to reward and encourage outstanding performance, creativity, and dedicated service by employees of the Alabama College System.
Diannah Rowser, Dean of Students at Reid State, was recognized as a nominee for Administrator of the Year. Kyle Null, Industrial Electricity-Electronics instructor, was nominated as Academic Faculty of
the Year. Melanie Hugghins, Administrative Assistant to the President, was nominated for Support Staff of the Year.
Rowser, a resident of Brewton, began her career at Reid State in 1992.  Prior to serving in her current position as dean of students,
she  served as student activities coordinator, director of career options and federal programs, registrar, and director of institutional research.  She holds a master's degree in management from Troy State and has taken courses leading to a doctorate degree.  
Kyle Null, also a Brewton resident, is a graduate of Reid State's Industrial Electricity- Electronics and Computer Information Systems programs, he holds associate degrees from each of these areas.  Under his direction the Industrial Electronics department has added coursework in industrial robotics, personal computer repair, and advanced digital electronics.  In addition to his faculty duties, he was instrumental in forming an innovative technology group on campus.
Melanie Hugghins, administrative assistant to the president, has been employed at Reid State for 33 years.  As a Reid State employee, Hugghins is involved in numerous campus projects.
