WSN varsity Eagles rebound over McKenzie

After struggling in the Escambia County tournament this past weekend, the W.S. Neal Eagles responded with a 53-50 win over the McKenzie Tigers Monday night in McKenzie.
W.S. Neal took a 10-7 lead at the end of the first quarter, but was outscored 20-14 in the second quarter as they trailed 27-24 at the half.
After allowing a 20-spot in the second quarter, the W.S. Neal defense took to action as they held McKenzie to only 23 points in the second half while outscoring the Tigers by six points to take the three-point win.
Jeremy Nicholson continued to lead the Eagles in scoring withd 17 in the game. Kendrick Floyd was in double digits for the Eagles as he finished with 14.
W.S. Neal will be back in action on Friday when they travel to Pleasant Home for a 7:30 p.m. tip.
