The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch that includes Escambia County.
This watch is in effect until 4 p.m. today, Escambia County Emergency Management Director David Adams said.
A line of severe line of thunderstorms is moving across Northern Mobile, Washington, and Choctaw Counties at this time.
This line is moving to the east and is expected to enter Escambia County over the next few hours, Adams said at noon.
