Mr. Charles Curtis Bell, 62, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at his residence after a brief illness. He was a native of Mobile and a former resident of Evergreen before moving to Lenox. He was a member of Lenox Baptist Church and a retired logger.
He is survived by his son, Jesse (Laura) Bell of Evergreen; the mother of Jesse, Martha Bell of Andalusia; four brothers, Joe Godwin of Pensacola, Jim Godwin of Monroeville, Mack Godwin of Montana, and Earl Leo Cooper of Range; two grandchildren, Angel Bell and Cody Wiggins; and special friends, Fred (Nancy) Harrison of Repton, Mark (Aubrey) Evers and James Kent, both of Lenox, and Weldon Lowery, Lonzo Burch and L.J. Burch, all of Range.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 22, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Boatwright officiating. Burial followed at Johnson Cemetery in Range, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
